Lauren got a new dress the other day and wanted me to do pictures. OKAY! ha! You don't have to ask me twice!! So last night we had some beautiful golden light around sunset time, so we went out to the UN-pasture (Steve made me get rid of the pony...that's a whole other story) and checked on the apple trees. Here are a few of the shots I got.

5 Generations!
Had the pleasure of photographing 5 generations from my husbands side. This is Steve's 96 year old Mommom, her daughter (H's Aunt....Love this lady, she's the sweetest woman ever), her daughter (H's cousin) her daughters and their baby boys. (I think I got that all right)

Steph ~ 2012 Senior
Got a chance to shoot this beautiful Senior this past weekend. My first 2012 Senior. Also trying to get my money's worth out of a great lens I rented and will sadly be sending back soon.
Fun with my baby girl
Had a lazy Sunday morning after a busy, late night Sat. So baby girl and I walked through our pasture to check on our apple trees, feed the chickens etc... and we started picking these "flowers" (weeds) we had a pretty good size bundle and she asked me to make her a princess crown out of them. So we sat by our campfire, which was still burning from the night before and I made her one.

Deez 5K May 14, 2011
Less than a year ago, friends of ours 16 year old daughter was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Clear Cell Sarcoma. She spend a good bit of the second half of last year at St. Jude's children hospital. Despite their efforts and a ton of prayers from many family, friends, community members and strangers who heard about Danielle one way or another, She passed away end of March 2011. Needless to say, everyone was devestated.
A few people from the community organized a 5K run to benefit the family and help with the cost of medical bills, travel expenses etc... Here is the website for the run. http://www.deezrun.com/ I had every intention of running this race. But soon found out that one of my boys had a baseball tournament that day and no doubt my husband would be working so there was no way to run with 4 kids in tow. Less than a week before the race, I was asked to photograph the event. I figured I could make that work and then get to baseball. (A bit late...but we got there!)
anyway, here are just a few of the pictures I took of the morning. I was convinced I would keep my emotions in check and not shed one tear...HA!! Yeah, that didn't last long. It was awesome to see the amount of people come out in support of a family who has done so much for our school and community. (Joe one of the guys in charge of our midget football program. And anyone who knows me knows how much I love my football!)
Danielle designed this back door herself. And they used the design also for the shirts.
And they're off!
Danielle's Momma...Linda and sister Sophie.
Danielle's Dad.. #83, finishing the race.
Looking over at his wife, after finishing the race for his baby girl.
Then there was a 1 mile long fun walk on the football field.
The group of people who organized this whole thing.
